Our first day at the cabin. Snow Baby!!!

We drove up to the cabin in Pinetop on Friday for a little fun in the snow. There was much less snow than I had hoped for but it was enough to have some fun and Miss Lexi thought it was the greatest!!

As always I had a great time with a little photo shoot!

I really could just snap pictures of her all day long!

Her little lips were made for photographs

We had a great time making this funny snowman and wished we could have brought him home with us!

Sister love!!!

Where's Lexi????

Peek a Boo!!! There she is!

No hill too high for this little one!! She was ear to ear smile all the way down!

Throwing snow balls at Daddy!

First Hairs Cut (not a typo)

Today Little Miss went for her very first Hairs cut. Yes for Lexi's hair we say she needs her hairs cut because she only has a few hairs to cut!! She was getting a little bit of a mullet in the back and I thought maybe if we trimmed and even layered a tiny bit that it would look a little fuller and help it grow. So we set off to a really cute and fun kids only salon in hopes that it would not have that doctors office feeling and she wouldn't freak out. The photo below will tell you how that worked out for us...
But after the first 5 minutes, yes only a few hairs to cut but the lady was slow as molasses and took about 20 minutes
She was no more relieved and continued the saga!!! See the big wet spot on her cape? Those are tears!! This girl can bring on some puddle sized tears in the blink of an eye.

Once she had that cape off of her and was allowed out of her chair she quickly recovered!

The suckers and rubber ducky were a welcomed reward from her ~stylist~

So we paid.....20.00!!!! Did I hear her right???? How much? 20.00 please!! Are you kidding me? I just paid 20.00 for two snips??? There wasn't even enough hair to save for her little box..... My own fault, I read the add wrong. It did not say first hair cut 5.00, it said First hair cut picture frame 5.00!!!! Oh Brother!! I could really use a stupid sign to stick on my back right now.

So we took our 20.00 lollipops (really called dumdums, how appropriate) and headed next door to the new cupcake shop that just opened. We know the manager and she had asked us to stop by.

No tears here! Lexi was dancing all over the place, she had the ~dance floor~ to herself!

And Bummer..... when we got home, we found this little dude on the couch.
Bryan had to pick him up from school because he wasn't responding with his inhaler :(
He wants me to make sure everyone knows that the pillow pet behind him is Lexi's

Nurse Lexi stepped in and gave the get better hug!!

And brought him a blanket.

And we took it easy the rest of the day!

Last weekend

We made it through the weekend and we are all very TIRED! Brady was up with breathing treatments 3 times on Saturday night. Really, we should not have let him compete but there was no stopping him. He knew his coach would be very disappointed and in the end we were OK. We brought his machine with us and we didn't end up needing it. Bryan and I (and Brady of course) have probably had a total 7 days of sleeping through the night since November! In stead of his asthma getting better as he grows, it is getting worse. Anyway.... Brady did so well at his competition!! He got 1st place in tumbling, 1st on double mini, and second on trampoline! 2 golds and 1 silver for the big guy!!
Making pancakes for Bubba before his competition.

This is very serious business!

I suggested we put a few chocolate chips in the batter.

She had other ideas!!!

What could I say to a face like that???
Humoring me, thanks bud!!

He's such a clown! (Like his dad!)

And for the girls!! Sorry no pictures :( It is impossible to get photos on weekends like these. They have competition for 2 days and then they have convention (master classes) on Sunday. They are gone from like 7 am til 11pm!! There is no photography allowed once they are on stage, no parents allowed in the dressing rooms and they are making quick changes so there's really no time in between. But... they did amazing. 3 of Rylee's dances got the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd highest scores of the weekend! Their production number won 1st overall.  The studio won Best Studio 2011. The owners won a 5 day cruise. I love their studio and the owners, they treat dance like a sport in every way and not like pageant type environment as you will see in many studios. The dances are clean and modest showing off their great strength and artistic ability. It was a great weekend, busy but fun. Lexi got a cold and a sinus infection on Thursday night but was a little trooper and the best cheerleader she could be with her little stuffed up nose and raspy cough. Now I'd better get to bed before someone wakes me up! Have a wonderful week!
