FCC Chinese New Year

Lexi had a blast at this years FCC Chinese New Year! It  was so much fun to watch her doing all the big kid things this year. She really does love to do big kid things. When we first arrived, the loud Chinese drum could be heard from the parking lot. She knew exactly what it was and she shrieked with joy! We have read all about everything that takes place during Chinese celebrations and she loves it all! So when we got to the event and she saw that the dragon was indeed dancing to the drum she ran right for it! All of the parents were shocked at this little peanut, not one bit scared of these guys. And she was the first one in line to have her picture taken with them at the end!!
Kissing him!!

She wanted to take these guys home with her!

More Kisses

After this she saw the rock wall!! I know, she's kind of small, but she really wanted to do it and they were sweet enough to let her!

She and her daddy tried really hard to win a cake at the cake walk but no such luck!!

Here she is waiting patiently for her Balloon Rabbit

And here loving the bounce house (taken through the screen)

Greeting her little friend Miss G

This is the province parade, they call the kids up by province and then they all gather with their flags to walk in a little parade, so cute!

So these are the kids from Hunan Province. With an extra sibling behind Lexi who does not appear to be from China :)

Lexi was so excited to get up on that stage, and so disappointed when she learned that there was no music or dancing happening up there!!

Back home playing with daddy while Mommy got stuff ready for our very long day at the dance competition the next day.

Ear update

We had our ENT appointment this morning and Lexi's right ear is still blocked. They think that her right tube is clogged with .... scab? That's what they said, yea I know Gross!! But anyway, at this point we have to sit back and wait. They say if she gets drainage, it will either help loosen the scab and help it come out so the fluid can drain or it will get stuck and cause an infection. If it causes infection they will have to go in and redo the surgery on that ear. We have faith that it will not happen that way. We are told that her hearing is still not good in that ear, just like any ear would not work well if it was plugged, however her actual ear has no problem and will hear just fine once all the crud is cleared out of it. I am making a point of talking to her on her left side now so that she hears things the right way. She goes to the doctor without a tear in sight now!!! Yep, she just played and was her super happy self the entire visit.
Here are some photos of us enjoying the wonderful weather her in AZ. We are expecting rain this weekend but I'm sure it will be sunny again by Monday. We have some visitors coming from Coooooold Minnesota on Friday so we need the sun to be shining bright again by then!

Valentines Day Lunch/Play Date

Just some last minute pictures from Lexi's Play date with Sam and David.
On to another subject, Lexi goes to the ENT doctor tomorrow to see if the infection has cleared from her right ear. She was there 2 weeks ago and we found out that she was not yet hearing from her right ear and that the tubing had gotten that ear very infected. She has been doing antibiotic drops for the last 2 weeks and we are praying that not only is the infection gone but that the new tests show 100% hearing in that ear.

Looks like she's saying ~Wutch you talkin bout Willis~

I made them a cute little lunch full of all things heart and they made MORE cookies!!!

I love it when her little dimple shows

Sam brought her the beads and the balloon, so cute!

I guess you have to hold your breath when you dance with balloons?

Love: Day 14

As I listened to the words of this song below in church today, I could not help but to feel so overwhelmed with the thought of how much our God truly loves us. He loves us like no on else ever will. Every good, bad, beautiful and ugly part of us! So this V~Day, if you don't have a sweetheart, no worries... God loves you in ways that only God can. His love is unfailing.
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:9-10).

She is our miracle, and every time we look at her we see the hands of God, His fingerprints are all over her!

We are His portion and

He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption
by the grace in His eyes

If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking

So heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss and my heart turns
violently inside of my chest

I don't have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way that He loves us
Oh He loves us
Oh how He loves us!!

She brings me joy and keeps me singing all day, he must love me so!!

Psalms 90:14

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,

that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
