Love: Day 10

I will be honest, I don't love cooking. I so wish I did. It's not that I can't cook or that I don't cook, it's just that I wish I could just whip up amazing things so beautiful they should be in magazines. I wish I could turn a few fresh vegetables, some herbs and some chicken in to a succulent dish at the drop of a hat. But honestly, I just dread the kids always asking whats for dinner. I dread the end of the week when I am out of fresh ideas and sick of the kitchen. My sister has chef in her blood. She is one of those people that can make anything and does. She is a nurse but she loves to cook and can make anything taste like heaven. It's a gift she has, my dad had it too. Me, not so much.

But what I do love to do is bake. And I love to do it with my kids. And since my big kids were in their sweats and fresh out of the shower they made me promise to keep them off the blog as usual. Sigh.. So here's  Lexi making her Valentines day cookies. We plan to do this again with her little friend Sam on Monday. It is always so much fun watching her make cookies. Actually, she doesn't usually make more than one, and she is eating it the whole time she's making it. And yes she gets her own frosting and her own knife so we don't share cooties!
