This man goes beyond the call of duty!
And you can see.... Ivy is Flinching....
She won't let him get too close to her even though he is the reason she can finally have a regular life. He is the sweetest man with the most impressive bedside manner and we are so happy that he encouraged us to come here! Ivy gave him a high five and fist bump and then pointed to the door haha! He is so sweet to her!
Yesterday was a very low key day, Ivy was snuggled in my arms until bed time. She is very very tired and getting no sleep due to the room mate situation. I asked if we could be moved, and they agreed that it was more than a good idea, but the charge nurse had all the reasons why we could not move. I am so disappointed. Ivy needs sleep in order to heal.
Counting down to HOME.... I'm So Ready!!!!!
Dr Baird said by the end of the week.
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Praying you home and so sleep for your sweetie!! Blessing to fabulous Dr. Baird!!!
ReplyDeletePraying that you are headed for home soon. I'm sure she will make so much more progress when she is in a comfortable enviroment.
ReplyDeletepraying for home SOON!!! I am praying for a room change as well, I just can't imagine!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePraying you get to go home soon. Ivy looks beautiful. Hugs to you all.
ReplyDeletePraying for her. She sure does have a “look”, doesn’t she...LOL
ReplyDeleteMary, I had hoped to get a little package to you before u left Boston but may not be able to...
ReplyDeleteI had wanted to send YOU a Starbucks card!!!! Every tired mommy needs access to caffeine, right? I respect Dr. Baird so very much!! Hoping so much the vocal chord repair gives Ivy pain relief and allows her free reign to eat and drink whatever her little heart desires SOON!!!!!
Oh Heavens I had no idea you had a roommate. That is beyond ridiculous. I think you said the charge nurse said no but the floor should have a manager. ASk your nurse today to leave a note for her. The charge nurses change every shift jsut like the nurses today. Most are on a power trip LOL! (i can say that since I was one) but she jsut really was being lazy. If they had a room there was no reason.
ReplyDeleteI'm just sitting here thinking . . . stink eye for everyone! Love it.
ReplyDeleteGlad this was an easy procedure for Ivy.
What a "stink eye" Miss Ivy has!! wow!! such a cutie --bet she will be so much happier at home ,too !Sure hope you can get room situaion straightened out soon! Blessings,Cathy in Illinois!!(praying you 2 home!)
ReplyDeleteIvy definitely has a look like she would prefer he wasn't there. LOL Her strong will must be part of how she is such a fighter! The doctor has a really kind looking expression....you can see the love for her in his eyes! That is something very special! One day she will understand it all....
ReplyDeleteI pray that Ivy is able to get the rest and sleep she so desperately needs to heal! I pray that her feeding issues resolve and she gains and gains weight and gets healthy and STRONG!
Prayers continue! There's no place like home. I hope your ruby slippers will take you both there soon.
ReplyDeleteWe love our. Cardiologist and surgeon. I am sorry you had such a bad experience in Arizona, but it sounds like it is all up hell from here on out. Praying you can go home soon.
ReplyDeleteA roommate? How did I miss that. So sorry!!!
ReplyDeleteDr. Baird, what a blessing he is!!!! I love how God chose such a special Doctor to take care of Ivy! And, so thankful that God prompted you to go and trust that this is where you needed to be!!!
Home is going to be sooooo wonderful!!!!!
Love,
Diana
Mary - we want to send Ivy something but now that you'll be heading home, we should probably wait. I'm sooooooo excited you're going home soon!!!!! Once Ivy and you are home, let us know when we can visit. I know you have company coming in for Thanksgiving so I'm sure you'll be super busy. Alexandria keeps asking when can we see Ivy and Lexi again. Super excited you'll be home by the end of the week!!!!!!
