Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and spending 4 days together was really so needed and so appreciated!
We had the Crago's and the Flores' to celebrate with.
Our oldest went to California to be with Grandma and the rest of the family.
We sure missed her! We missed A too :)

The weather was fantastic, and since then it has been freezing! Yep in AZ!

My silly girl!
I can't believe how coordinated this little peanut has
become in the last 3 months!

She is up and down stairs no problem

She can run really fast!  And she can jump really high with
both feet off the ground! Really high!

Sadly, ...sigh... while I was snapping this photo she wacked her
tiny little mouth on this pole :(

Her top teeth made her bottom lip bleed and the pole made
her top lip bleed :(
And while Mommy pouted, she licked it, kissed her hand
and pressed it against her lip, and walked down the steps!

The End :)

Merry Go Round

Seeing things through the eyes of a child is the most precious thing you'll ever experience!

Celebration!

Lexi's Gotcha Day celebration was so special! We made a big fuss over it because 1, well she's kind of a big deal... and 2, it was our First!
My friend Bonnie was in HengYang visiting Lexi's orphanage and seeing the city on this very day! She sent us pictures of the inside of Lexi's orphanage, the cribs and the nannies and the very person who brought Lexi to us exactly one year prior to this day! We are so blessed to have Bonnie in our lives. (And now baby Jane who is just about to turn 1 and is from HengYang)

~Now, Back to our celebration~

We went to Lunch (Chinese of course) all 7 of us!!
There were balloons~ 2 balloons, because Lexi is all about the number 2
And of course they were BLUE, because Lexi LOVES LOVES LOVES ~BLUE~
And she wore her Blue dress, it isn't all blue but she was happy with what it had, we don't own much blue.

And there were presents! Yep 2, hehe

Oh how she loves Kai Lan!!

A new scooter just like the big kids!

Have I mentioned how much we LOVE this baby girl?

There was cake!!! Kai Lan Cake! And since the ladies at the
restaurant think she is so precious, they insisted
that her cake have a candle! Lexi loves to blow out candles!

Check out that huge stream of spit!! It landed on the table but
we went ahead and cut from the other side of the cake, just sayin.

She would have gladly sat there all day just
lighting, blowing and re-lighting that candle!
I think we need to get those "trick" re-lighting
candles for her Birthday next month!

She was quite the sight both arriving and leaving the restaurant!

I'm not sure life gets much better than waking up next to the sweetest
man on the planet and then going down stairs to find this face
happily waiting for me in her crib, meanwhile being surrounded
by the most incredible, fun, helpful, delightful pre-teen and teenage
and 20 yr old kiddos on the planet! My cup overfloweth!!

One year ago I held my baby Lexi for the very first time

Today is Lexi Day!!! One year with our blessing from China. Today is all about you sweet girl!

Lexi Jade, it has been one year since you were placed in my arms. One year ago, we were merely strangers. You looked at me with your gorgeous eyes, you sized me up a bit, and then you allowed me to feed you a bottle and hold you close. It was as if you knew I was your mommy right away and you were just patiently waiting for me to get to you. Daddy and I were given a miracle from God, a miracle made in China! You are the sweetest, funniest, most gorgeous little blessing this family could have ever wished for. You filled our family with just what God had planned for us. Your big sisters and big brother love you with such a great big LOVE . Your Grandma and Aunties and Cousins and Friends can not imagine our family without you, they adore you and love you so much. Every night, as I rock you in your pink room before I lay you in your crib, I thank God for this precious child he has trusted me with and allowed me to call my own. You bring smiles and laughter and joy to my every day. You have taught me to stop and smell every flower, watch every ant crawl by, listen for every airlplane and train and car and truck. You gave me hope, you teach me patience, you have taught us all so much about unconditional love and I am so blessed that you have chosen to love us. We love all love you baby!!

Thank you Diana, ~DIJO~ for taking these amazing photos of my
sweet baby L, you are amazing!
