48 hrs Post Op

Pin It Little Miss has had another outstanding day!! Her paralysis meds have been completely stopped.
Her LA pressure is BETTER than anyone ever expected this soon after surgery.
Her nurse just told me that her entire set of numbers are Harvard worthy!!
So much more than we ever thought possible just 48 hrs post op.
The plan for tomorrow:
Close chest at 7am
Let her adjust to that.
By late afternoon we will start to back off on some of her sedation.
Over the next few days that will continue
And when she appears to be awake enough to breath we will remove the ventilator.
She is getting pure fat feeds right now.
She will likely get an NJ tube placed and feeds started in the next few days.
As you all know from last time, a pound lost for Ivy is a huge deal, she doesn't have any reserve.
So they are taking a wonderful pro active approach at keeping Ivy nourished and I am so happy!
That's all!!
Thank you for checking in our little Empress!

Sweet Amazing Ivy!!! You are incredible and you are so loved by so many people. Keep strong and know that we are praying for you and your family. We currently live in Okinawa Japan and learned about you through a friends post on FB. When I saw you were going to Boston I immediately became interested in your story because Boston is home for me (a small town outside Boston) and I learned early in my life of the miracles that occur at Boston Children's Hospital! You are a miracle girl on so many levels! I Love to hear how well you are doing! Keep up the great work! Way to go Mom!
