I have gone round and round on how I would share our day

I face planted right onto my laptop, I am so tired! I woke up with my head on the keyboard. It was a hard day, a long day, a big day.
The doctors were absolutely shocked by todays echo, as were we!
They pulled me aside to talk alone. The sadness in their eyes was enough to make the room feel like an icebox. Dr Maarx, our cardiologist was so kind and so wholeheartedly disappointed.
Later this evening Dr. Baird came to our room. He held Ivy's hand and rubbed her leg and told her he promised to make her better.

The echo revealed that Ivy's right side of her heart is not working properly. The tricuspid has severe regurgitation. This is a secondary problem, meaning something else is causing it. Ivy will have a heart Cath first thing tomorrow morning (at 7am).

If it is the right coronary artery again, they can address it in the cath lab. If it is something else... They will need to do open heart again. We pray it is something that can be addressed in the cath lab. And we pray her little body can handle this. She has been through so much in such a short time.
I am holding up fine, my heart just crumbles for her. Imagining what she has endured and how we have just finally started to see our smiley girl emerge from the suffering and here we go again.

I was weary and overwhelmed as I took in the information. Shaken by what seems like continuous suffering and heartache for this precious little peanut. But God is faithful and His timing is perfect. He knows what He is doing and He will perfect us, strengthen us, and make us whole~ with nothing lacking!

Remembering God's Promise tonight~
Be confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it. Philippians 1:6

Our baby needs her team on board again!
Pray fervently
Rejoice in His promise
Repeat!

Once again, faith. You and she have shared and endured so much. She is a warrior princess. I remember the earlier posts where you were trying to decide to show photo's of her, and now each and every time, her victories are documented so bravely. Your words and thoughts and heavy heart are on my mind each night and first thing in the morning. The world is thinking and praying for you and your sweet baby girl. You are the best mother this little warrior princess could ever hope for - you are a true and vivid example of a Christian mother. Everyone in my community will be praying until you and sweet Ivy are safely home.

Oh Mary, I am so sorry that little Ivy has another fight ahead! No child should have to go through all she has gone through... She even had the tube out today huh? At least she has been gaining some strength so that she can keep on fighting. Praise God for that!

I will pray that God works through the doctors and allows them to determine what is causing the regurgitation in the cath lab. The Lord will take care of that precious baby girl!!

Lots of thoughts and prayers for Little Ivy Joy and her family this morning!

Continuing to pray! When we were going through so much with our Lily last winter, God continuously spoke to me and showed me things through His Word.

Beautiful, in Ecc. 3:11 means fit, in harmony with the whole work of God. It also means that, all things considered, it could not have been done better.

I feel like we’re in the fight of our lives with Lily, but it’s a beautiful fight…it’s in God’s perfect harmony and that means there is no better way.

I think you are also in a beautiful fight for your precious Ivy, but be encouraged that with God there is no better way! (I know your faith is strong, just wanted to send some encouragement your way!)

Blessings!
Rachel
